' .. (h' l )(G), I • I ' . ' I am enclosing reports on d-dihydro-LSD, 1-Methyl d-lysergic acid butanolamide, and elymoclavine. The first two are materials received from the Sandoz Company. Neither seems of par·ticularly great interest at the moment. D-dihydro-LSD is about one-third as potent as LSD, whereas 1-Methyl-d-lysergic acid butanolamide is not a psychotomimetic. Elymoclavine is of some interest since, like agroclavine, it induces sedative effects in man, and may in fact be more potent than agroclavine or Lilly 23194~ We plan to do a dose-effect curve with this latter material, provided an additional supply can be obtained, and to compare it directly with secobarbital.
