Do you have any information about _ of this compound? su~plles Since our dogs run between 7 and 20 ki-lo-grams and s !nee the dose in dogs seems to be in- the order of. 100 mg./kg. we would be using approximately an average of 1 gram per trial, we could, therefore, test about 10 dogs. This number might be insufficient. I woulC:: like to obtain more of the compound. Meanwhile we·wtll begin some very simple pre l!minary work with the amount on hand •. I am getting into about the same situation with BOL. Preliminary work with this compound indicated that mild LSD-I ike effects began to appear in human subjects with 4 total doses of about mg. I have written the Sandoz Co asking if tney could supply more of. this compound, and am withholding attempts at blocking the LSD-reaction with BOL until 1 hear from them. Results with trte second batch of 01 iol iqui seeds were identical with the results obtained with the first lot. With doses ranging up to 5 grams total there was no evidence .of any p_sychosomimetic activity._ Doctor Wikler will be in Washington from February 4th to the 8th. He is on a promotion board and could probably be located at the PHS headquarters, if you desire to see him for any reason. Very sincerely yours, . , IJ - . : ··- _·, __ - ·/ ·• ': ,/ f ..
