A pa:rt of this re spons ib ilit y is the monitoring of the Contractor' s at his facility to determine if the quality standards of the Contract ;erfo~a.~ce are being met. It is also requested that you authenticate the need for and the use of any Gqvernment furnished property made available to the Contractor pro~er accordance vith the Contract. i~ 2. To assist in our evaluation of this Contractor's capability and perform ance, send us a report of each inspection visit (Form 1897, Contract Inspection ?1e~ort). Both the interim and the f'bal reports should include information relative to the contractual provisions for delivery and expenditure, as vell as your judgment of tbe Contractor's overall performance. The final report should be in narrative fo~ and should include a statement certifying that all deliverable items listed in the Contract have been· received. (Use reverse side of Form 1897 for narrative.) 3. Reports that indicate overall performance as unsatisfactory or barely should support such evaluations with detailed explanations of the specific ade~~te and the corrective action which is being disc:-e~ancies ta~en. 4. In orde:- to establish a res~lar reporting cycle, the initial Inspection shall be submitted thirty days after the 15th of the month the Repo~ follo~ing effective date of the ·contract, (e.g. on a contr~ct dated 5 June 1967 ~he first 1 Ins~ection Report vill be due 15 July). Subsequent reports vill be submitted at sixty day intervals from the first due date (e.g. 15 September, 15 November etc.). 1 5· The Inspection Report is the basis for payment of invoices submitted by the Cont:-actor; therefore, it is that they be submitted promptly as required i~portant e.bo·•e. 6. Incentive Contracts require close revie~ during performance whenever a~ard o:- incentives a:-e to be applied. Tne final report must reflect an ac pe:-fc~rnance cu:-ate evaluation of total performance an:l the level of -objectives attained so as to establish the basis for incentive a~ard. 7.
