This document describes experiments attempting to block or attenuate the reaction to LSD by pre-treating subjects with BOL for two days, noting that only eight subjects could be used due to a shortage of BOL.

REACTICN BY PRETREA Tlv\ENT WI n-t SOL FOR 1\YJO· DAYS ,· These experiments were carried out because of the f . reports of' Glnzel and Mayer-Gross that 2 day's pre treatment with SOL completely blocked the LSD reaction and one-day's pretreatment with SOL attenuated tt. Because of" shortage of SOL, only 8 subjects could be used. Stx of these subjects had not had LSD before. Insofar as was possible, we attempted to reproduce the experiment of" Gtnzel and Mayer-Gross. The image displays an ornate, metallic vault door on the left side, rendered in shades of gray and blue. The right side of the image contains text in white and yellow font on a black background. The white text explains that the document was obtained from "The Black Vault," a database of declassified government documents, specifically from the MKULTRA/Mind Control Collection. It notes that over 20,000 pages were declassified by the CIA, and the collection is available online at "http://mkultra.theblackvault.com". There are no photographs of people, locations, equipment, or subjects; no handwritten annotations, signatures, or marginalia; no official stamps; no forms with filled-in fields; no diagrams, schematics, or organizational charts; no tables or structured data; and no redactions or obscured content. Additionally, there is no visual evidence of experimental procedures, equipment, or facilities presented in this image.

The page is a typewritten document with handwritten annotations and a stamp. The text discusses attempts to block LSD reactions with BOL pretreatment. There are two handwritten annotations in the upper right corner of the page: a drawing that appears to be a person with a circle around them, and a circled number "97". In the lower right corner, there is a handwritten alphanumeric code "A-341". A small, illegible handwritten annotation is present in the lower left corner, possibly indicating a page number or reference. No photographs, diagrams, tables, forms, or evidence of experimental procedures or equipment are visible. There are no official stamps or redactions on the page.
The page contains a table detailing the "EFFECTS OF ADMINISTERING 3.0 MG. OF BOL DAILY FOR 2 DAYS BEFORE LSD," with columns for "DRUG" types and rows listing experimental "MEASURE" ments. The table includes data on Patellar Reflex, Pupillary Size, Systolic Blood Pressure, Number of Questions, and Clinical Grade, presented as means with standard errors. Below the table, there is a paragraph of text describing the experimental protocol, including dosage information. A handwritten annotation appears in the lower right corner.
