The techrucal terms agreed upon are as follows: a. TI1e contractor will conduct rese;crch leading to the develop ment of equipment and techniques Hhich may be used in checking bona fides and in interrogations: (l) To provide positive evidence of deception. - (2) Without evidence to the interrogator that special equipment is in use. (3) Under field conditions (varying power supply, battery pack, etc.) b. The devices to be developed are remote detection and record ing of individual reactions to questionsJ and a confusion device (side tone delay) to be introduced automatically when deception is attempted or at the will of the interrogator. 4.
