Several drugs have been identified that apparently are the induction o£ the hypnotic effective_in_sp~eding state, and in deepening the trance that can be produced in give#l subjects. These observations remain to be confirmed through studies oi' larger numbers of normal subjects, and insofar as possible, quanti- _ fied. Observations have also been made of drugs that provide some . degree of immunity to hypnotic influ.ence. ·· These investigations also -~eq~ire considerable elaboration, B.
