This document is a declassified CIA MKUltra/Mind Control Collection item titled "Final Summary Reports" from September 1945, detailing experimental work on "K" Tablets intended to cause rapid unconsciousness without fatality.
This is one record. The archive holds the rest — ask it anything across the MKUltra files and every answer is cited to the page.

To the right, white text is superimposed on a dark background, announcing "THE BLACK VAULT" in large, distressed lettering. Below this title, smaller white text provides information about the source of the document, stating it comes from an online database of declassified government documents, specifically the MKULTRA/Mind Control Collection, and offers a web address for download. The document is a typed memorandum dated September 6, 1945, from the "Special Assistants Division, R&D" to the "Research and Development Branch." It concerns "Final Summary Reports," specifically mentioning two attached reports: "K" Tablets and T.D., submitted from the same division. There's a handwritten annotation at the top right of the document, which appears to be a classification or routing mark. Vertical lines are present on the left side of the page, suggesting it might be a page from a binder or file. The overall appearance is that of a standard internal office memo.

R.13ULTS The chloral ~drate wal'er will dissolve in two to thrr:e tni."lut~s in water or a water-alcohol ~ixture. Because of its bitter taste, it is suggested that a - flavored bevera~e be used such as tea, coffee, whiskey or other alcoholic drinks. The difference between: the "knock-out'' dose and lethal dose in this latter case is not as grr;at as that of chloral h3rdrate. The page is a typed document, likely a report, with a title "FINAL SUMMARY REPORT OF K TABLET". It contains no photographs, diagrams, stamps, or handwritten annotations. The content is entirely text, organized into sections like "INTRODUCTION" and "MATERIALS AND EXPERIMENTAL METHODS", with a table listing proportions of "Chloral hydrate" and "Carbowax 4000". There are no visible redactions or obscured content, nor any visual evidence related to experimental procedures or facilities.

The image displays a declassified document with typed text and some faint, printed annotations. The document is organized into sections with headings like "Experimental Methods," "RESULTS," "CONCLUSIONS," and "RECOMMENDATIONS." There are no photographs, diagrams, tables, forms, or handwritten additions. The text describes the preparation and effects of two substances: chloral hydrate and a morphine-hyoscine mixture. There are faint markings and lines throughout the document that appear to be part of the original printing or scanning process, but no official stamps, redactions, or visual evidence of experimental procedures are present.
This document is a typewritten report, likely from an older filing system, with vertical lines on the left margin suggesting it was bound in a folder. There are no photographs, drawings, forms, or filled-in fields. The only visual markings beyond the typed text are a few scattered dark dots, common in older document reproduction, and horizontal lines beneath headings like "INTRODUCTION," "MATERIALS AND EXPERIMENTAL METHODS," "RESULTS," "CONCLUSIONS," and "RECOMMENDATIONS," which serve to visually separate sections of the text. There are also several faint, horizontal marks of varying lengths in the lower portion of the page, possibly indications of a damaged or imperfect page.
