This document from the CIA MKUltra program details a discussion between agency representatives and Dr. J. G. Wilson regarding a drug called cytozoline, which was reportedly effective in breaking up alcoholic conditions and could potentially be used for interrogation.
This is one record. The archive holds the rest — ask it anything across the MKUltra files and every answer is cited to the page.

The image is primarily a graphic overlay for a declassified document, not the document itself. On the left, there is an illustration of a bank vault door with a detailed combination lock and various gears. To the right of the vault, white text displays a title "THE BLACK VAULT" in a stylized font, followed by informational text about the document's origin and content. The text explains that the document is from The Black Vault, an online database of declassified government records, specifically mentioning the MKULTRA/Mind Control Collection and providing a URL for online access. There are no photographs, handwritten annotations, official stamps, forms, diagrams, tables, redactions, or visual evidence of experimental procedures present.
The document is a typewritten memo, dated December 8, 1961. Handwritten annotations in the upper right corner include "390" and a more illegible script with a signature-like mark. There are also several red-ink stamps or markings. Several sections of text are heavily redacted or obscured, particularly in the first and third paragraphs, and in the bottom left portion of the page, with a stamp indicating "58-50" at the bottom right. The visual elements suggest official communication, with some passages deliberately obscured for security or classification purposes.

Cytornel is supposed to oxidize the alcohol. I believe that this could be an important adjunct·to your work. The document is a typed memo with handwritten annotations and stampings. There are several black ink redactions obscuring names and possibly parts of sentences. A handwritten number "390" is visible in the upper right corner, and another handwritten annotation "58-51" appears in the lower right corner. There is a circular stamp resembling a seal with some text or graphics inside on the right side, above the redaction. No photographs, diagrams, forms, or visual evidence of experimental procedures are present.
This page is a typewritten letter, dated December 8, 1961, with some handwritten annotations and several redactions. The letter begins with a salutation to "Dear Mr. [REDACTED]" and discusses an article on "Intravenous Cytomel" and its use in treating alcoholism. There are several dark, rectangular redactions obscuring names or specific details throughout the document. Near the top right, "390" is handwritten, and at the bottom right, a handwritten signature or initial "5805" is visible. The content, while text-based, implies a discussion of a potential treatment or experimental drug, with the redactions suggesting sensitive information.

The page is a scanned document, likely from a scientific journal, featuring technical text and a graph. A line graph is present, depicting two declining lines labeled "Control" and "Treated," with "mg./100 ml." on the y-axis and "Hours" on the x-axis, illustrating the rate of decline of blood alcohol. Handwritten numbers "390" and "58-5-" are visible in the top right and bottom right corners, respectively. The document also contains a significant amount of dense, typed text, appearing to be a research paper with sections like "Preliminary Report," "MATERIALS AND MEMTHONS," and "RESULTS." There is no evidence of photographs, official stamps, forms, or diagrams other than the graph.

The document consists of a typed page of scientific text, featuring several tables of data and handwritten annotations. One table, labeled "TABLE 1. Effect of Tri-iodothyronine on Rate of Blood Alcohol Decline in 12 Treated Patients," displays patient identifiers, blood alcohol levels at different time points, and calculated rates of alcohol decline. Another table, "TABLE 2. Data in Untreated Control Patients," presents similar data for a control group. The top right corner features a handwritten number "390" and another unclear annotation that appears to be a checkmark within a circle. The bottom right corner has a handwritten numerical code "58-5". There are no photographs, diagrams, stamps, or forms visible on this page.
The document is a declassified scientific report, likely from a medical or research journal, with the majority of the content being dense, typed text. There are two handwritten annotations: a set of numbers "390" in the top right corner, and a circled number "15:30" near an arrow pointing to a section of text. Notably, there are no photographs, diagrams, stamps, or filled-in forms visible on this particular page. The visual presentation is purely textual, with the handwritten additions offering the only non-typographical visual elements.
