Enclosed for the Bureau are six 8 x 10 photographs numbered 1 through 6 on the reverse of each photograph, which were furnished to the Memphis Office by Photograph #1 depicts demonstrators in the front of Clayborn Temple, 280 Hernando, Memphis, on the late afternoon of 11/10/69. It was this group which some 15 minutes after the photograph was taken threw rocks and bottles at police officers maintaining a barricade one block north of the location of this photograph which resulted in the arrest of 53 demonstrators, the use of teargas to repel the demonstrators, and led to subsequent localized looting and destruction of property at Memphis. Photograph #2, #3, and #4 reflect damage done to buildings and to a motorcycle which was firebombed after the above group was repelled by teargas by the Memphis Police Department. Photographs #5 and #6 reflect Negro school children running from Manassas High School on the morning of 11/17/69 at the urging of the NAACP which is attempting to boycott Memphis City Schools. These Negro youths caused some damage to school property upon leaving the school and required the Memphis Police Department to break up the groups into small groups and to prevent these Negro children from marching on downtown Memphis, Tennessee. The document is a declassified FBI file page, likely from a COINTELPRO operation, dated 11-24-69. It contains typed text and several black redactions obscuring information. Handwritten elements include an annotation "HEH: bad (6)" and a date stamp "NOV 2 1 1969" with "COMM-FBI" below it. There are also various scribbled marks and what appears to be a date "NOV 24 1969" in the upper right quadrant. The page also includes a form-like section on the left with pre-printed labels and a box labeled "MAILED 22". Some illegible handwriting and a timestamp "97 DEC-3 1989" are visible at the bottom.
This declassified FBI memo from November 20, 1969, has several notable visual elements. A "UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT" header is at the top, followed by "Memorandum" in stylized script. The memo is addressed to the "DIRECTOR, FBI" and from the "SAC, SAN FRANCISCO." Subject matter includes "COUNTERINTELLIGENCE PROGRAM" related to "BLACK NATIONALIST-HATE GROUPS." Several items are redacted with black marker - two horizontal rectangles in the main body of the text and one smaller one near the bottom. Official stamps such as "REC-28" and a date stamp "NOV 21 1969" are clearly visible, alongside handwritten notes like "11," "806," and "Deaf." There's a small, faded image of a soldier-like figure at the bottom left, which appears to be part of a pre-printed form encouraging savings bonds. The overall impression is of official, sensitive government correspondence with added operational markings and redactions to obscure specific details.

This document primarily consists of typewritten text, with a few visual elements. It includes a formal "Memorandum" header with fields for "TO," "FROM," and "DATE." There's a significant handwritten signature under "FROM" with a field office identifier. The content describes photographic evidence related to demonstrations and property damage in Memphis, mentioning photographs #1 through #6. Additionally, there are several handwritten annotations and markings throughout the text, including a drawing of a person and what appear to be codes or references like "REC-89" and "DNJ." A stamp indicating "Buy U.S. Savings Bonds Regularly on the Payroll Savings Plan" is present at the bottom.

Information copy of this request is being forwarded to Los Angeles so that Division might be alert to any tangible results noted concerning this activity, if approved. 10/25/49 BBI RON KARENGA LEROI JONES BLACK THING CO-OPTED "Malingering" Karença, founder and misleading bourgeois priest of the US organization and cultural nationalism, must be de- scribed as being synonymous to the lying, murdering, demagogic pigs of the USA's organization, the CIA. But perhaps he is one lower than the usual run of the mill pig, be- cause he has sold out and he is still selling out. He is using his Black skin and the soul knowledge embodied in his bald head to mes- merize Black people, to lead the people into believing a dashiki is more powerful than a pig's speed- ing bullet. The reason that pork- chop nationalists have been able to get people to support their ban- ner, which is manifested in a tea- spoon of apolitical rhetoric, is be- cause Black people are looking for something, for anything func- tional to eliminate the oppressor country fascists that have gone crazy, misleeding, denying, and murdering them. This declassified FBI document is a form, likely a teletype or memo, dated November 12, 1969. It bears official stamps and routing information, including "AIR MAIL - REGISTERED" and a date stamp of "5 DEC 1969" with an approval signature. The document contains numerous redactions, obscuring names and specific details, particularly in the narrative sections. There are also handwritten annotations, including what appear to be signatures or initials in the upper right and lower right corners, as well as a handwritten case number "1-8068" and other markings related to internal routing or case files. The form itself is structured with fields for "TO," "FROM," and "Date," and lists various FBI field offices with associated codes and registration details.
for anything func- tional to eliminate the oppressor country fascists that have gone crazy, misleeding, denying, and murdering them. When rebellion sprang out in the colony, it was very beneficial for some greedy, articulate, nigger with a beard, bald head, and shades to take to the podium expounding on a Black-and-proud time, with slogans appealing (not necessári- ly helpful) to oppressed ears. This has been the basis for the cosing together of the cultural rationalist, in the Black colony of Babylon, is the outstart, the $9c power struc-.. ture is this as paida. Their (the bies) ius ippele are moving in a new direction, even though the direction is the one they were out to re-examine if Jones. was expressing itself in more vio- lent terms. So the fascists put blood money into the colony and the pork ebops slid into the melting pot. Kow they are full-fledged pigs, out to corral and pacify a new wave called the "Black thing". The aim is to turn it toward Black capitalism. So with the help of pig money, the cultural nationalists are sponsor- ing Black. When we have the oc- casion to check out various news media, Blackness is now in vogue. It has become as commercial as Coca Cola, an inroad to capi- talism. But the aim of double O agent Karenga and his elite core is not to make Black capitalists out of black people, but to keep them at the "buy Black" level, that is cus- tomers. So this is the purpose of their doctrine; to build a character around Blackness deeply embodied with 16th century Africa and west- ern styled bubas with matching bell bottoms, hoping that they can build a brainwashing or charisma to make Black people believe being Black, living Black, buying Black, etc. is the essence of liberation. But we say to Karenge, and Jones, and all the rest of their mis- leading fools who sick at the peo- ple, that we are up to you and will not allow you to erroneously lead the people down the road to capitalism. We have experienced rig capitalism; and for what it's worth we can forget it! The document appears to be a page from a declassified FBI file. It contains a numbered identifier, "SD 100-14192," and sections of typed text. Several areas of the text are redacted with black ink, obscuring specific names or details. One small visual detail that stands out is a black circular mark near the top right, possibly a punch hole or ink blot.
This document is a typed memo with numerous handwritten annotations and some redactions. The top right corner contains a list of names, possibly recipients or subjects, with checkmarks next to some. There's a circled section labeled "VIA TELEX" with additional scribbled notes. Scattered throughout are instances of black redactions obscuring text, most notably in the middle section of the document, along with handwritten notes such as "Hilger ill" and "5-11" which may indicate informant activity or operational status.
