This letter would draw attention to a new youth group which organization fully supports and requests to assist a member of in the near future. this new group who will contact is well known as being connected with the SWP and is undoubtedly familiar with activities and SWP affiliation. Any letter written by would be open to suspicion by the very nature of the type of enmity and distrust which exists between the Communist Party (CP) and the SWP. It does not appear logical for member for any kind of assistance. Your suggestion, therefore, is not approved. The Bureau appreciates that it was prompted by your awareness of the importance of a counterintelligence operation to disrupt any attempt to form a new CP youth group. The activities of the Marxist discussion group being conducted by should be closely followed and if Board member should possibly be in contact with an anonymous letter or an anonymous telephone call at an opportune time to alert to the fact that may be recruiting Trotskyites into the CP.
